Mark Flagler walks the Camino Inglés
On March 12, 2025, I set out on a new adventure along the Camino Inglés. Having already walked the Celtic Camino in Ireland and Spain, I traveled to Ferrol, Spain to begin this 5-day, 113-kilometer pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela.
The Camino Inglés winds through quiet countryside, peaceful woodlands, and timeless Galician villages, offering moments of reflection and inspiration around every bend. Despite the wetter-than-usual weather, the experience was nothing short of amazing.
My goal was not only to walk the Camino, but also to lay the groundwork for a future short documentary about this lesser-known but deeply meaningful route. I wanted to feel the rhythm of the trail, connect with fellow pilgrims, and capture the essence of this journey through photos, video, and social content.
This Camino was everything I hoped it would be—and more. I’m already looking forward to returning with my camera in hand, ready to share the spirit of the Camino Inglés with the world. Buen Camino.
